Hey, I'll take a look at groupswatcher.com as an SEO roast. You're competing with devy.com, which is ranking on Facebook-related search terms only. You have this blog that ranks pretty well, and this page that you link to is good to take a look. So let's take a look at this site. So groupswatcher.com is, you watch Facebook groups so you don't have to. You get an email within 60 seconds when a new post matches your keywords in public and private Facebook groups. It's actually pretty cool. So public use cases of brand monitoring, lead generation, data fees and API, and buying opportunities, pretty interesting. I would maybe add to these words specifically, like Facebook brand monitoring, Facebook lead generation or something, to make it more specific to Facebook. So here's how it works. Enter the Facebook groups, you join and monitor them 24-7, you get alerts. So then you have your competitors, like the Chrome extensions, you have 60 seconds. So you don't use your own Facebook account, and then you work with your browser closed. So how you would expect, basically, anything. Some notification channels. I don't think this is super useful for people deciding right now, but I'm sure it can help. But I would make it maybe a little bit smaller. The pricing is important, so 149 includes up to 10 groups. And then you have a note from the founder. So you're the only tool that can do this, which is good. So then you can book a call as well for brands, local service businesses, and so on. So very nice. So you have mostly two pages. And the one other page that you sent is, so they are not linked in the footer, which I would definitely do if you want to rank it higher. But you have a page, Facebook lead alerts for local businesses, social listening, and Facebook groups. I think this one is good. So the brand is like Facebook social listening. And then keyword alerts and Facebook groups without being an admin. You are ranking for this page already, because I imagine it's a very niche keyword if we look at the keywords, it's basically zero domain rating. So it's not too competitive yet. I imagine not many people do it, but it's gonna be exploding. So that's actually quite nice. So keyword group tracking, not too relevant, I think, based on what people would search for. So if I Google this, it's like more about SEO keywords and tracking Facebook group keyword alerts is extremely valuable. So that is where you are ranking for on GroupsWatcher. And it is actually two pages that are appearing. So the first one is the keywords groups, and the other one is the listicle. So the listicle, as you can often see, is actually the one often ranking high. The only thing here in this blog post that I think is missing, like you are ranking to, I mentioned Devi, who's a competitor. But the thing for GroupsWatcher, like in this part, you definitely want to make this a link. And you want to add like a image and specific screenshots of how it works, like how to add like a keyword, how to target it, show like notifications being sent. Because people are here, this is a very relevant keyword. So people here are already deciding, like if they wanna buy or not the software. So you want to be extremely convincing and show them that this is the right tool for them. For Facebook group monitoring and everything else, you are doing also quite well. So what I'm gonna check, since you have already quite a bit of keywords, is a few things here. Our first on Ahrefs, we can see for this group of keywords, except group keywords, which pages are appearing. And if we export this list and get the top 10 positions, since it's not too many here, we get the top 10 positions from the SERP. So for this list, I built like a tool. So for example, for group keywords, Facebook event keywords, and so on, we can maybe delete this one from the list. So we select the rows and save here again. And then in SEO Roast, there's a tool that parses this Ahrefs data, Ahrefs SERP analyzer, and then we can drag and drop this result and see who or which domains are appearing for these keywords. So what we did is for this list, basically, now we know, okay, here's the websites that are ranking quite high. So for example, in the top one position for Facebook events keywords, we see the guidebook, it's about social, YouTube, and so on are ranking. So based on this, we can know that your website, for example, GroupsWatcher is ranking for all of them. And it's normal because we got this list of keywords from your own site. And the other pages like devy.com, they have two pages. So they have here the tool to monitor keywords. And these are the pages that they are ranking on. So for example, here, as I mentioned, they have like a high quality blog post that talks about like Facebook group monitoring, and they show specific examples plus a video of how to do it. And then they talk about competitors and they just made a lazy screenshot as an example. Before I continue the keywords, let's take a look as well on the devy.com site. So they rank high for their own brand name, Devy. And then also for a bunch of keywords, like keywords for Facebook posts, and Twitter for keywords, Facebook monitoring software. And they have built a few links to these, but also like random keywords, like bookkeeping software or LinkedIn monitoring. So since you're doing one specific thing, I think these pages are the ones that are most relevant to you. And that's the exact ones that we opened earlier. So what you wanna do is make sure that you have like a similar blog post on your site. And that exceeds the quality of this one. So you want like a high quality image like this, show like a video, and that will help you rank higher. The only other thing that they have compared to you that is better is they have like a much higher domain rating. Yours is a domain rating of free. So it's fairly low and you don't have too many good backlinks. I feel from like eCommerce, Fastlane, they're pretty cheap to get. But what they have is just a few more, like GuideFlow, Interest Explorer, Grace Themes, SuperX, and yeah, that's about it. So what I would recommend is you go through this list of backlinks. I'm gonna email it to you. And then you go, for example, to a website like interestexplorer.com. And they talk about like how to monitor Facebook groups for backlinks. What you should do is email them here and ask them, like you find a contact page here. Should be pretty quick and simple to find it. Oh yeah, it's like a mail to link. So here's the email. Then you email them and say, hey, I saw you have this blog post. How much would it be to write a similar one? And that's what you would do for the rest of this site. And if you've done all those, you would for sure rank higher than them after a while. So the other pages that are ranking for keywords are Reddit. So there are a few Reddit posts that are talking about what you're doing. So like automated Facebook group monitoring, Facebook event categories, searching for pages, keyword monitoring tool. So what you wanna do for many of these is like write a little comment and see there's people like Cinder already talking about their own product in these keywords and these pages. So that's what you wanna do. For Facebook, the same thing. So I guess you can use your own software or since you probably don't write the comments, but it would be helpful to reply here in these pages because since the keyword includes Facebook, facebook.com is naturally gonna rank higher for a lot of this. And they are ranking very high for almost all pages. Quora, very similar. You write a comment. On youtube.com, you would make like a YouTube video like this one. Like in my- Hey guys, this is Danish and in this tutorial I- So other ones, GitHub, maybe like a few tools that are ranking for auto-commenting. You could make a free tool that could work. There's a Chrome extension. Sprout Social has 12 ways to use Facebook events for your brand. This could be content that you could write. Otherwise, I don't think you have too many crazy competitors that are appearing here. So I think you have a good chance to rank higher. I would just improve your blog posts that are there and overall make it better. I think one thing that you might do that we didn't detect yet is look at keywords related to Facebook and then see what else is appearing. And there might be people who are looking for tools. Ad library, how to change Facebook password. So this might be like content that you could write. Cover photo size, all types of blog posts that you could add to your site. Facebook name changer. Maybe like a Facebook keyword research tool or like group finder. These could be like tools. Facebook group finder. Let me check what Google was suggesting. So if we do like a space like this, there's a Facebook group finder for 110 volume. Keyword alerts, cover photo size, finder tool, chats, banner size. So these might be interesting. For example, Syndr.ai, they have a tool called Facebook group finder. And then you enter your domain, for example, jenppt.com. And it analyzes your website. I think it might not understand mine since I have the first sound checklist. But it gives me a few keywords. And then based on those keywords, it suggests a few pages. So if we look at Syndr.ai, overall as keywords logic that they have, they have the Facebook group monitoring tool. So this is like a specific landing page, which I think you have as well. Then the group finder, as I mentioned, is a good strategy. And then mostly they focus on Reddit anyway. So. Let's see, groups list, group links, free Facebook groups to join, auto-approval group finder extension. Keyword. Okay, Facebook keyword generator tool and search. So keyword alerts. Like generator, for example, Content Studio has one. And it's a free Facebook keyword generator. And it generates Facebook keywords. I don't know exactly what it does. It doesn't seem too useful to me. But it does seem to have a little bit of volume, at least. Yeah, there's a list. There's maybe a strategy that you could do for like finding Facebook groups. But I think most of the rankings are, are like Facebook itself. So Facebook group for jobs. It's almost gonna be all Facebook.com that ranks here. So that might be tricky. Otherwise for here, I would just kind of focus on, yeah, just finding more useful blog posts to write. That's about it. I think otherwise for you, just getting a few more links would be helpful. I think that's about it. I think you have a pretty good, decent small niche. You're really ranking quite well. Just improving the blog posts that you have, adding a few more internal links could help you out. Well, you have, I believe, pretty decent like titles and descriptions already. So most of the site is quite well done. Maybe just playing around for the conversion rates and having people write blog posts about you, like guest posts, and then working together with competitors who are doing Reddit marketing, Quora marketing or similar, and then having like an affiliate program could be useful. But otherwise, I think you are doing quite well. All right, good luck. If there's any questions, let me know.

Facebook group keyword alerts

Actual roast notes

The teardown

No template scorecard here. The details below come from this specific audit.

SEO Audit: GroupsWatcher

GroupsWatcher monitors Facebook groups and sends email alerts within 60 seconds when new posts match your keywords in public and private groups. The product is strong in a niche that is still early but likely to grow fast.

Main competitor: Devi, which ranks on Facebook-related search terms with two core pages and a high-quality blog post on Facebook group monitoring.

Current SEO Performance

  • Domain Rating: ~3 (very low)
  • Ranking keywords: Facebook group keyword alerts, Facebook social listening, and related long-tail terms
  • Top pages: Homepage, keyword alerts without admin access, and a listicle blog post that often outranks the product page

GroupsWatcher is already ranking for valuable niche terms like "Facebook group keyword alerts" with almost zero domain rating. The opportunity is to widen the gap before competition heats up.

Homepage & On-Page SEO

The homepage is generally well done. Titles and meta descriptions are in good shape.

Recommendations:

  • Make use-case copy more Facebook-specific (e.g. "Facebook brand monitoring", "Facebook lead generation") instead of generic terms like "brand monitoring" or "lead generation"
  • Link the keyword alerts page from the footer — it is not linked today but is a strong ranking asset worth improving further
  • Keep pricing prominent; the $149 / 10 groups tier is important for conversion
  • Consider shrinking the notification channels section — useful but not critical for purchase decisions

Content Strategy vs Devi

Devi's main advantage is their monitor Facebook groups for keywords and leads guide with screenshots, examples, and a video walkthrough. GroupsWatcher's listicle ranks well, but the post is missing a direct competitor comparison (Devi should be included).

Recommendations:

  1. Publish a comprehensive "Facebook group monitoring" guide that beats Devi's post in depth, visuals, and video
  2. Update the existing listicle to mention Devi and other alternatives
  3. Add internal links between the homepage, use-case pages, and blog content
  4. Focus blog topics on what people actually search: "Facebook group keyword alerts" over generic "keyword group tracking"

Backlink Strategy

Devi has a higher domain rating (~30+) with backlinks from sites like GuideFlow, Interest Explorer, Grace Themes, and SuperX. Many of these are achievable via outreach or paid guest posts.

Action plan:

  1. Use Ahrefs SERP analysis on target keywords to find sites ranking in the top 10
  2. Email sites that already publish Facebook monitoring content (e.g. interestexplorer.com) and ask to sponsor a similar post
  3. Replicate Devi's backlink profile page by page
  4. Build a few more quality links — even cheap eCommerce/Fastlane-style links can help at DR 3

Parasite SEO & Community Presence

Many ranking URLs for Facebook-related keywords are Reddit threads, Quora answers, Facebook.com pages, and YouTube videos — not traditional landing pages.

Recommendations:

  • Comment on relevant Reddit threads about automated Facebook group monitoring (competitors like Cinder already do this)
  • Answer Quora questions in the niche
  • Publish YouTube tutorials similar to existing ranking videos
  • Partner with Reddit/Quora marketing tools and run an affiliate program

Free Tool Opportunities

Competitors like Syndr.ai rank with utility pages such as a Facebook group finder. Related keyword ideas with search volume:

  • Facebook group finder
  • Facebook keyword generator
  • Cover photo / banner size tools

A free Facebook group finder (analyze a domain and suggest relevant groups) could drive top-of-funnel traffic and backlinks, similar to Syndr.ai's approach.

Summary

GroupsWatcher is in a strong position for a low-DR site in an emerging niche. Priorities:

  1. Footer links + internal linking to key landing pages
  2. One flagship blog post that outclasses Devi's monitoring guide
  3. Targeted backlink outreach to sites already ranking for Facebook monitoring keywords
  4. Parasite SEO on Reddit, Quora, and YouTube
  5. Optional free tools (group finder, keyword generator) for programmatic traffic

The site foundation is solid. The biggest levers are content quality, a few more backlinks, and community visibility where Facebook-owned properties dominate the SERPs.
