Hey everyone, welcome to another SEO roast. It's been a crazy year so far in 2024. We audited 34 websites and created eight hours of content. We took a look at all of these websites and you can access them all on here. And this audit for today is trending.sp. We'll be taking a look at the website and seeing what things we can improve. So let's take a look. So faster, better content, discover trending content, get inspired and create, ready to execute content outlines and minutes. So just on the regular thing, I can already see what types of keywords there might be on this page. It's gonna be content outlined, content creation platform and trending content, get inspired is not so specific, but yes, trending content. I'll do it like this. Build a personal brand, struggling with content ideas, time to level up your game, no matter where you are in your content creation journey, turn it into a co-pilot from idea to execution and minute. You can stop spending hours in content creation, AI powered platform, find viral content inspiration and minutes, not hours. You can do faster research, get more ideas, click save your content and minute and you can get AI to bring your best content ideas to you. It's very good, actually design everything. It's very clear, all of these values. So it's nice. I think people will be happy to scroll and view the page. Here is more maybe keyword specific stuff like multi-language support or smart content outlines or like transcription. These are things that people might be looking for specifically when they're looking for a tool like this. Creator company is booming, there's trillions on the table. You want to make sure you get a buy event to claim your sliced one. Let's go to CTA, that will definitely work. So once you sign up, you see the home page with a lot of content and you can log in. The how it works page and the pricing and FAQ is all on the same page. And generally it might make sense to have a lot more content ideas or like landing pages. So if we look at their website on Ahrefs, you see that it's a super fresh site. So they just have landing on the title and that's about it. So I'm still working on the programmatic SEO course. If you don't have it yet, you can grab it over here on the magicspace.co website and there's a programmatic SEO course. This will give you a lot of tips, but I was writing just now the SEO essentials for programmatic pages. And for any page, you have a few essentials that are super necessary. So one of the first ones is the title tag. You want it to be like your primary keyword, secondary context, and maybe a brand name in the end. And for trending, we see that this is a little bit short. We see that they just have the trending as a title and the description is discovered trending content, get inspired and create, ready to actually count down to content outlines. So the description is good. The description doesn't really help with like ranking or anything, but it does help with click-through rates. So if a user sees it, they are more likely to click if it's actually the thing that you're looking for. It matches their search intent. And the H1 is something that should also inspire people to keep reading. So faster, better content. It's good, but it can probably be a little bit better. The canonical URL as well is super essential as well as some other elements like the clean URLs. But everything else is not super important. The most important as well is like the H1 tags. You want one H1 per page. In this case, it's faster, better content, but something like from ideas to execution minutes, that should be a H2 and all of these ones should be a H3. So you should only have one H1 per page and that's it. For your title, you want it to be like trending content creation platform. Very simple, just like your primary keyword in the title. Everything else, canonical URL is missing and social media should be the same as your canonical URL. So this is decent enough. But if you don't have these essentials in place, you won't really rank. So make sure that those elements are done. So you don't really have any backlinks yet or top pages. You would definitely want to submit your tool to some type of directory to get a bit of traffic. So maybe figure out like profile backlinks or some other methods where you can add your website easily. So this could be something like Product Hunt. It could be something like Crunchbase, LinkedIn, Twitter, all of these count as backlinks as well and they're free and easy to place. So definitely do it. Otherwise, for your pages, you cannot really have like only one page. Ideally, if you have something like how it works, it would be moved to a separate page. So like a separate landing page. Pricing as well. And that will help you rank. For example, if someone is looking for like HubSpot pricing, they have a specific dedicated page for this. And people are looking for this page that will just help them rank. For example, how it works, they probably have a Features page or a Get Started page, but also HubSpot Features. Here we go. So this is a product like what is HubSpot? And this explains it a little bit more in depth, everything that is part of their toolkit. So that's very essential. The more specific pages you have, the better you'll rank. So they even split up all their landing pages into specific products, for example, Marketing Hub, or then Solutions to generate leads and so on. You can do the same. So instead of just having a homepage, I would split it up into a few things. So for example, we open these examples over here, for example, Content Outlines. You could have it in the Products dropdown and then have a page on Content Outlines. This could be something like, here we have a lot of blog posts in the SERP. So people who are looking for Content Outline, they're mostly looking a way to create Content Outlines. So you either have a blog post that explains it, that could help you rank, but otherwise maybe it's like a Content Outline Generator that's a bit more specific. This could be like a tool that you would have in your website where people can place a blog post and then get like a free example. But some of these don't have to be tools. Let me see if there's any at all that is not a tool, but more like a landing page. So this is a tool. This looks like a tool. This is also a tool. It could be similar. It could be like a semi-hybrid. So you type something in here and this actually goes to, instead of generating something, it goes to your Get Started page and then you just log in. So you could have just the same content over here. And then the only thing you need is like a description, information FAQ, and maybe some other stuff that you would have on your page. So you could say like Content Outlines, you could go from idea to execution a minute, and then have this type of blurb on your page. So some other examples, very similar, Copy AI. Who is it for? Try other AI tools. This is a blog post. So you see the type of examples that are ranking for Content Outlines. So that's ideally the type of page that you would have here. So that's already like a second page that we have for your website. The next one could be something like Content Creation Platform. Here we have mostly blog posts, trend.io, content tool. So these are listicles. You can always reach out to them, by the way, to get nice backlinks. If you scroll down to the bottom of that page, usually they have some type of way to contact them, and you just send them an email and say, hey, by the way, I made trending. Do you wanna list this in your article about the best 14 creator platforms? It can work. There's like a 1% chance that it works, but it's worth a shot. So generally, it's just a homepage, but the Content Creation Platform, you could have a slug. So trending.so, then Content Creation Platform, or even something like in the subdirectory, Features slash Content Creation Platform. And this would be like a landing page that you would have on your website. And it could look very basic, something like this, or something like this, or something like this. But you already have a, here's a specific example. The other ones were like homepages, but this one is on a use slash use case slash Content Creation page. So you could follow this exact format to create use case pages for you. If we look at vismin.co and then filter on use cases, we'll see what type of pages they have already in this type of directory. So let's see, use case. Yeah, so they have three pages, Interactive Content, Strategic Planning, and Content Creation. They look the same, they just have different images and the content over here. So that's very basic and a simple way to create a Content Creation landing page. Just follow that format from vismin and you could already have at least three or four specific landing pages that have a use case. So your use cases could be Content Ideas, Content Creation, Personal Brand Builder, Viral Content Finder, Content Ideas or Smart Creation, Content Intelligence, or Find Viral Content, Content Outlines or Transcription. You would have at least like 10 different landing pages. And you could start at least starting to rank for this type of topic. So the other one, the keyword is Trending Content. Here we have a listicle that talks about trending topics. This is the top trending topics in the US right now. So you could have a blog post like this or even better, just have a page that says something like Trending Topics. And then using the programmatic SEO framework that I taught, that I teach in the course, you could have different trending topics. For example, US chain, for example, Switzerland, for example, specific stuff like marketing and so on. So I believe exploding topics might have something like this in programmatic SEO style. Let's take a look. So they have mostly blog posts, but you could probably have a lot of these trending topics potentially using your database. If you already have one, just make it a little bit public, maybe show the top five and the rest you need to log in to actually see stuff. But you could have trending topics in AI startups, trending topics in social media, trending topics in the fastest growing cities or so on. So this could work really well for you to get a lot of content. And as we saw here, they have a lot of pages and it really works well. They get a ton of traffic. They have 900 pages and they get 170,000 clicks per month potentially. So trending topics, programmatic SEO method could really work well here. If you want to find out more, get the course that I mentioned earlier and it will have all these details for really how to set up this programmatic SEO pages. Trending pages about your personal brand. This seems to be a blog post or how-to article. So you could have a blog post content. If you don't have a blog yet, I would also recommend it. It definitely works well. But also not only on your blog, you could also have some type of tool or programmatic SEO page for personal brand builder and so on. Or examples of personal branding as we see here. They work really well and you can have personal branding for students, for Instagram, for leaders and so on. This could be very useful as both a blog post or programmatic SEO idea and so on. Content ideas. These seem to be working quite well. Also on Pinterest style, like images. We have a bunch of blending pages here. There's a content idea generator so you could have the tool. You could have a blog post and maybe a landing page but I don't see one right away. Viral content inspiration. Yeah. Multi-language support. This is just like a content guide. So based on what we saw, the quick keywords, what I would like to suggest is always try to get some backlinks to your page. Build the content types, for example, the landing pages for a few cases. Maybe some free tools that we saw earlier. Start a blog and you'll start ranking for at least a lot more keywords that you have now. And if you build also the pricing page and the how it works pages, you'll have a few more pages to add more content and potentially rank on Google a little bit better. So this is what I would suggest for a super fresh and new site. It can work since you have a low DR. I think it makes sense to try to target low, like long tail keywords with low difficulty. And one good way to do that is Programmatic SEO. So make sure that you check out the Programmatic SEO course. It's gonna be really cool. I'll be working at it for the rest of the year and it will have a ton of updates. So make sure to try it out. All right, thank you so much. Have a happy new year and I'll see you in the next one.

SEO Audit Report: Trendin - Content Creation Platform
This report summarizes the key SEO findings and recommendations from a live audit of the Trendin website, a content creation platform.
The audit focused on identifying areas for improvement to boost organic search traffic.
It’s a new site, however.
Initial Impressions
The website design is considered good and clear, effectively communicating the platform's values.
Users are likely to find it easy to navigate and scroll through the homepage. The
homepage effectively highlights potential keywords like "content outlined," "content creation platform," and "trending content."
The call to action, "claim your slice now," is deemed effective.
On-Page SEO Analysis
Title Tag
Currently, the homepage title tag is simply "Trendin." This is considered too short and a missed opportunity to include relevant keywords.
Recommendation:
Implement a title tag following the structure: [Primary Keyword] - [Secondary Context] | [Brand Name].
For Trendin, a more effective title tag could be: Trending Content Creation Platform - Get Inspired & Create Outlines | Trendin.
Meta Description
The current meta description is: "discover trending content, get inspired and create ready to execute content outlines."
This description is considered good for click-through rate as it clearly communicates the value proposition and matches potential search intent.
Note: While the meta description doesn't directly impact ranking, it significantly influences click-through rates from search engine results pages (SERPs).
H1 Tag & Heading Structure
The homepage's primary H1 tag is "faster, better content."
While acceptable, it could be more specific and keyword-rich.
Furthermore, the current heading structure is incorrect:
Issue: "from ideas to execution minutes" is currently an H1, but should be an H2. Subsequent points are H2s but should be H3s.
Principle: Each page should ideally have only one H1 tag that accurately reflects the page's primary topic.
Recommendation:
Change the H1 tag to something like: Trending Content Creation Platform: From Idea to Execution in Minutes.
Restructure the headings:
Trending Content Creation Platform: From Idea to Execution in Minutes (H1)
Stop spending hours in content creation (H2)
AI powered platform (H3)
Find viral content inspiration in minutes, not hours. (H3)
And so on...
Canonical Tag
The canonical tag is currently missing from the homepage.
Recommendation:
Implement a canonical tag on the homepage that points to the homepage URL itself. This is crucial for preventing duplicate content issues, especially when parameters are added to URLs. Ensure social media links also use the canonical URL.
Off-Page SEO Analysis
Currently, the website has no significant backlinks.
Recommendation:
Directory Submissions: Submit the website to relevant online directories, including:
Product Hunt
Crunchbase
LinkedIn
Twitter (profile link)
These provide easy and free initial backlinks.
Outreach to Listicles: Identify articles listing content creation platforms and reach out to the authors to request inclusion of Trendin. Even with a low success rate, it's a worthwhile effort.
Website Structure & Content Strategy
The website currently operates as a single-page application, with all information (How it Works, Pricing, FAQ) on the homepage. This limits SEO potential.
Separate Landing Pages
Recommendation:
Create dedicated landing pages for key sections:
How It Works: Explain the platform's functionality in detail.
Pricing: Clearly outline pricing plans and features.
FAQ: Address common questions.
This allows for targeting specific keywords related to these topics (e.g., "content creation platform pricing"). The example of HubSpot's dedicated pricing page highlights the importance of this.
Keyword-Specific Landing Pages
Recommendation:
Content Outlines:
Create a dedicated landing page targeting keywords like "content outline generator." Analyze the SERP for "content outline" to understand user intent and the type of content ranking (blog posts vs. tools). Consider a hybrid approach: a landing page with a form that leads to signup. Reference examples like Copy AI.
Content Creation Platform
Develop a landing page specifically targeting this keyword. Analyze SERPs to understand the types of pages ranking (often listicles). Consider a subdirectory structure like trendin.so/content-creation-platform or features/content-creation-platform. Reference Visme's "use cases" page structure as a potential model.
Trending Content: Capitalize on this core feature.
Programmatic SEOOpportunity: Implement a programmatic SEO strategy to create pages for various trending topics (e.g., "trending topics USA," "trending topics marketing"). Reference Exploding Topics as an example of a site leveraging this strategy.
Benefit: This can generate a large number of pages targeting long-tail keywords and significantly increase traffic potential.
Blog & Other Content Ideas
Recommendation:
Start a Blog: Create blog content targeting informational keywords.
Personal Brand Builder: Develop content around this use case, potentially as a blog post or a programmatic SEO approach (e.g., "personal branding for students," "personal branding examples").
Content Ideas: Explore content related to generating content ideas, potentially through a blog, tool, or landing page.
Keyword Targeting & Opportunities
Given that Trendin is a new site with a low Domain Rating (DR), it's crucial to focus on lower competition keywords.
Recommendation:
Target Long-Tail Keywords: Focus on longer, more specific keyword phrases with lower search volume but also lower competition.
Leverage Programmatic SEO: As mentioned earlier, this is a highly effective method for targeting long-tail keywords at scale.
Overall Recommendations & Next Steps
Based on the audit, the following key actions are recommended for Trendin:
Optimize On-Page SEO Essentials: Correct the title tag, heading structure, and implement the canonical tag.
Build Initial Backlinks: Submit the website to relevant directories.
Develop a Multi-Page Structure: Create dedicated landing pages for "How It Works," "Pricing," and key features/use cases.
Implement a Content Strategy: Start a blog and develop keyword-specific landing pages.
Explore Programmatic SEO: Prioritize building out pages for trending topics to capture significant long-tail traffic.
Target Low Competition Keywords: Focus on long-tail keywords and leverage programmatic SEO for this.
By implementing these recommendations, Trendin can significantly improve its SEO performance and attract more organic search traffic.
