Hey everyone, welcome back to another SEO roast. Today we'll be taking a look at Popadex. It's your net worth tracked. So let's take a look at things that we can find for the SEO that we can improve. First off, the title is very simple in the homepage. It just says home. Ideally, you should describe more or less what your website is about. So if you have Popadex home, like people type this in and they see, okay, this is the homepage, but this doesn't really explain what the website is about. For example, even your net worth tracked, which is the H1 over here, would be a more suitable title than the one that they have here. So ideally, it should be something simple like this. Your net worth tracked, this will at least have a higher CTR rating for people who want to get to know what it's about. For example, here introducing Popadex, your network tracking solution, this would potentially be even better. For example, the tool description, your network tracker, network tracking tool, this will give us a better description for what it's about. Even here, Popadex is a SaaS app designed to streamline personal finance management to consolidate all financial assets into one interface. It's a little bit long, but you could potentially improve this to be a little bit shorter, because at least we have a good Popadex Crunchbase page over here. So we have some other information on Popadex, on YouStartups, Crunchbase, Reddit, some other extra pages that are described in Popadex over here. So they have a few profile backlinks that we talked about before that help Google understand more what the website is about. For example, Duarte wrote a Medium blog post about Popadex's own tool, and they have Twitter, Pinterest, Capybara, some other pages that work well for helping drive authority to the website. So here on Reddit, we have the page on Swissfire. This actually is a really useful page because it really explains in a short and concise way what Popadex is and what it does and how it can improve the things for the user. So that's really helpful. This usually is what I would recommend for having also on your landing page, like not too many explanations. It might be a little bit too long or too much GPT, whereas here it feels like it's a little bit more concise and meant really for users. And that's what I would recommend for people writing SEO content. Just make it very simple. Explain it to a friend, explain it to your family what the tool is about. And also Google will also like this instead of typing too much text into one place. File site, also here on Twitter, there is a Twitter page that they also link to from the bottom, Twitter, Instagram, Dribbble, Facebook. All of these are very useful ways of driving profile backlinks. Here we have that it's a Jekyll based website of Lightspeed, and it's talking more about Puppetex, but not so much about what Puppetex is. Potentially this could be another blog post, but Google would just like this. And TikTok and then Pinterest also are two pages. So to go back to the website, we have the homepage title. This definitely should be improved and the description is way too short. Ideally, this should be Puppetex, your network tracking solution. And then description should be some type of SEO meta description. I made a quick toolbar that I use for my personal work. So for example, network tracking, network tracker, right? And then you can create a SEO meta description based on this tool. So the meta description should be something like, track your network with Puppetex free tool, monitor assets, liabilities, and financial progress easily, sign up now. This is an ideal meta description and this is what should be used. Just make sure that it's below 160 characters and the title is below 60 characters. But everything else on page Y seems to be okay-ish. For technical SEO, we have the canonical area, which is set, the robots.txt is set, the sitemap seems to be set and seems to include a lot of pages. I'm not sure if all of these are correct because it does have the homepage, but the blog posts seem to be way too long to be correct, but potentially this is also the case. But this is something that could be improved. We just need to check this real quick. Yes, they have the full URL in the blog posts. Ideally, I try to avoid too long slugs like this one and I try to make them shorter. Over here, for example, we see that the slug contains the year, the month, and the date. But ideally, the slug should be a lot shorter than just the main keyword. For example, this page talks about the importance of financial literacy, a guide to success. This is written with AI, I'm pretty sure. Based on the description, because it's using FAQ and then it talks about stuff in general, but it has a few internal links, which is good. But I'm pretty sure if people would land on this page, they would see, okay, enter this world, always the same key takeaways. They see, okay, this blog post is just AI written and they'll just walk away. And then when they scroll back to the homepage or Google search results page, they'll see, okay, this doesn't give me any value, I'm gonna look for something else. For example, if people type in importance of financial literacy, this page that shows up is a low volume keyword first, but the first pages are Investopedia, which has a 92 domain rating, whereas Poputex has seven. So it's very hard to rank for this one. Otherwise, it's Forbes, then it's Standard Bank, Corporate Finance Institute. All of these are 80, 90 domain rating. The first one that we see is, for example, here at 25 domain rating. That's the first one that we actually could compete with. But this one talks about the importance of financial literacy for students. And it's a very short and simple article. Although it does have one backlink that we can check over here. But potentially this is something that we can improve from our side as well. Otherwise, the pages that are ranking for Poputex over here that we see are not even the homepage because it's just a home. And then the homepage will only rank for a home or the name Poputex. But if nobody's typing in Poputex on Google, it will not show up as the homepage. Ideally, what you want is to rank for something like Net Worth Tracker. And this is the ideal keyword because it has about eight keyword difficulty, 2,000 search volume, and a $3 cost per click, which is pretty good. And then you have some tools, for example, as a Net Worth Tracker app. Over here, Pocketsmith or worthtracker.com. And then you have some Reddit posts and Apple Store, Play Store, YouTube, Money Wise, and some affiliate content. Ideally, this should be something that you try to rank for as well as your tool. This is a keyword like you connect your bank accounts and you can see all your Net Worth Tracked over here to the list and the product. Ideally, this is a keyword that you aim for. And long-term, you want to have this keyword. So you try to add this in pages. This is some essential on-page SEO, for example, Net Worth Tracker. You could change the H1 title over here, add it in the SEO meta description and the title, add it throughout your page. For example, Evolve Your Financial Planning doesn't help me understand exactly what it is. It could be track your finances or something. If you understand the financial landscape, that's why we designed a Net Worth Tracker. It's more than just a tool. See, so you use Net Worth Tracker, so why don't you use it in the top that helps people understand more what your tool is about. All your assets, one clear picture. Yeah, assets, that dashboard, maybe that would be more clear as subscription pays for itself, how it works. It could be, this might be good, but it could also be how to track your assets. And then the same step one, integrate, connect all your financial data. Step two, get a unique overview of all your finances. Step three, plan budget and grow your wealth. You're ready to take a leap. Ready to take a leap. Ready. Try our Net Worth Tracker today. This helps people already understand more what the page is about. Otherwise, it's like very generic and general purpose. Doesn't really help so much. Get in touch. Let us help your, let us help plan your financial assets. If you have some free tools already, Profitability Calculator. This uses like a lot of text, so try to use instead of chatGPT or GPT-4, something like Cloud, it will make your content a lot more concise and shorter. Let's go over your savings potential. Again, it's too long. Make it more clear based on the keyword what it's about. For example, here you have Profitability Calculator. So just make it that. That's super simple to understand. Okay, so Profitability Calculator. This is what the page is about. And then here, add some more content. For example, step one, enter your interest rate. Step two, input your amount of savings. Step three, input your duration. And then press some button. So the people, when they type in, they get a result. This will help Google and maybe your own signup page or email capturing logic. So the other top pages are Network Tracker and Excel. So Network Excel Templates. So see why this page ranks well and the Profitability Calculator does not appear here in the Google at all is because you have a nice H1 over here that really explains well what it is. And then it has also a bit more content over here. So it has a bit more of a filled out information. So this, I feel, is a bit too short, maybe, but it doesn't really explain the templates so well. So you could say in a template, here's the stuff that you get. You get some results. None of the free versions should have a simple form, but otherwise, you can flesh out this content a bit more. For example, here, this is way too long. This should be Network Tracker for Google Sheets and just remove this one. This doesn't make so much sense. It doesn't help Google understand your website a lot more. So this is a better call to action where they control your financial future. You could say ready to track your wealth. That's maybe shorter. Ideally, the thing that I see on your pages is you have a lot of AI written content. That's why it's not ranking so well. And then it's like way too long most of the time. It's having too many words. Your path to prosperity, the best digital tools for network calculation and financial tracking. This is like way too long as a title. Ideally, this should be something throughout the year as well. Ideally, something like best digital tools for network calculation, best net worth calculation and a net worth calculation tools. So this is a lot more shorter and a lot more clear what the page will be about. Also, this one is just like 100% Dolly or whatever generated so it doesn't even make sense. If someone even shows up on this page and they visit it, they will leave right away because they'll see, okay, this is AI, this is gonna be bullshit. I don't even need to see this. Ideally, you want to focus on some of your top pages over here that are potentially already ranking. None of them are. So I would just focus on a few, one of these. See, for example, this one has also like the same issues of too long of a slug, but here you have the mint net worth, tracking wealth tracker apps, open net worth apps. This is the keyword for this page. So just make it exactly like this one and then focus on improving the value and the usefulness of this page. So add images here, check if this is correct, add a link over here, add a button, really check if this is true or legit instead of just the best net worth tracker apps. This is all, I cannot even trust this, right? Because I don't know if this is all gonna be true or real. Maybe like Excel, okay, it's a one-time purchase of Microsoft Office, but of course people know that Microsoft Office has different types of plans. You can buy it online, you can buy it on MacBook or as an Office package or Office 365. So these content always makes sense. And I, for example, have a subscription for Microsoft Office, so this is not 100% true. Then maybe you could have some examples and maybe some extra tips, for example. Here's some templates, a link back to your net worth Excel template, for example, here. Literally you have, hey, by the way, you can use this list and also add your Google Sheets over here and then mint and then your own POPitX solution. So all of these things will really help you improve the usefulness of your blog posts and that will really help you rank more. So you have a lot of pages, potentially a lot of them based on the pages that I saw on your sitemap. There's a lot and they are even in Spanish or other languages, but none of them are ranking at all because they're all just written with AI and this doesn't give you any benefit and they're all just like a mess, right? So you don't, like, it doesn't even make sense. Nobody will actually read this. You don't need like hundreds of blog posts that nobody will read anyway. You really need two or three really good ones, like so good that you'll be happy to share it on Twitter, on LinkedIn, with email, that are actually used for the people and those will rank well and give you traffic. You're trying to, I wrote about this on SEO audit. There's a page called Seven Deadly Sins and they talk also about this, like you don't want to write too much, like writing everything with AI, you have the envy issue, whereas like you're trying to get so much traffic and then over time what happens is you crash 100% because Google detects that it's all AI and it's all like bullshit, like there's no point in spamming hundreds of blog posts. You just need two or three ones that are actually good. You want to focus on users, not like search engines. The other thing that you could try is using something like TagParrot. I'll add a link here and then this will help you index your pages. For example, you connect to a website, for example, u.ly, and then you say, okay, I want to submit all of these for indexing and then you publish them and it will crawl and index all your pages based on the quota. So this will help force the indexing, but if your pages are nonsense, or like too much AI, like this is clear, right? It's okay to use AI sometimes, I use it all the time, but this is clearly not useful for people because they will show up in this page and they see, okay, this is like nonsense content. It's just like spam, right? And this will not really help you rank at all. So what you want is to make this actually useful so that you would share it with people, even on Reddit, on Hacker News or other pages. And I feel like this is the biggest reason why your pages are not being indexed and not ranking at all. So just try to focus on improving the usefulness by focusing on five blog posts and making them really good. And help your on-page SEO by focusing on network tracker, keywords on your homepage. And this will already give you a lot more results. Whereas for your backlinks, you have a decent start. So I think if you focus on getting some of these changes for your blog posts and on-page SEO, you will at least start getting some traffic and start getting some results. And from there on, you can focus on expanding more, writing more useful blog posts, which will help you also get more backlinks naturally without even paying for them because your content is so useful. Especially if you, if for example, what I saw on Puppetex is you have something, for example, here is Swissfire, right? You're introducing the page here because it's being announced. But for one thing you can try, for example, if you have something like Swissfire, you can check the Reddit for a specific page and see what other people are talking about. So you could write about like the best saving accounts in Switzerland, Flowbank for the Swiss quote, Flowbank review, wealth tax, start a credit bank, but also at different pages. For a think book, you have personal finance Reddit, which is this page over here. And you can do, use the same as a way for getting keywords. If you focus especially for UK, it has loads of traffic and loads of content and loads of keywords, about 400,000. It's so big that HFS almost doesn't even load this. And here you can see, for example, perfect emergency loans, best row for IRA, what's a good credit score, by credit card should I use, distribute tax good, 5k funds review, is lending tree legit, how to buy a house. All of this content will be a lot more useful for people because actual people are asking this and there's a lot of volume and you could make this really useful and like really do the research, write something like useful like this, but put it on a blog post format and make it helpful. And then also share it on Reddit and say, here I made a guide and step-by-step guide how to buy a house. You can even divide it by countries, but this will be a lot more useful than whatever you have already on the blog that's like nonsense content. All right, I hope this helps. Good luck.
