Hey everyone, today we're taking a look at ClientPortal.io. You can set yourself apart from your competitors by giving your clients a professional organized client. They have about 8,000 plus businesses and they are doing quite well because they have a 59 domain rate. Let's take a look at their results and we see that they have 2,300 backlinks from 477 different domains. So they have a steady amount of keywords and a steady amount of traffic. Let's take a look at the top pages to see what they're working with and we see that the top results are very hockey stick, I guess, because we see that the client portal gets most of the traffic, like 95% of the traffic on the homepage and the other ones are like stuff like client portal login and some examples. So the examples of the example here are the PDF from a client, I guess, an example accountants for the perfect client portal for your accounting firm. So these are like long tail results, very similar for different types of industries. So more like case studies and it helps a little bit to rank higher for these examples. So they get a little bit of traffic here, but the top results are still the homepage. So the bottom of the funnel keywords such as client portal, they're ranking number one for this. So that's really good because they get a lot of traffic here. The other result is like WordPress client portal, client portal software, customer portal software. So these two are doing quite well. If we saw it quickly on volume, we see that there's some other results here that they're not ranking so much on, such as customer portals or portal plugin, but that doesn't make so much sense. So it's better to show it on traffic. If we Google this result, such as client portal simply, we see that there's a lot of volume here and it's growing over time. So a lot of people are looking for client portals. The results that we see here are Google ads, one of the top ones, and the first result is client portal.io by target. Some other results here are just like logins for the state of South Carolina, client portal.com, simple practice, and then some other blog posts, such as the few space. If we Google customer portal software instead, we see a bit of a different result. It's not trending as highly as before because it's a bit more specific, such as customer portal software. Then what Google also suggests here for us as well is like best client portal, best client portal software for small business, best client portal for agencies, and so on. We should check these out as well and see what else we can improve here. Best client portal is like people who are already familiar that they need a client portal, they're just looking for the best one. That's why Reddit often ranks here very highly. One thing that I would recommend for Reddit is like if you can still add a comment, at least add a little link to your page, so just say like joinportal.com, very simple, but you could just say like clientportal.io instead and make this a comment. Sometimes it will be deleted, but it can still be worth it. So just do that and see if it's deleted or not. So for best client portal, clientportal.io is ranking here as well, but also like this blog post about Fusebase. You will see this quite often. One other example is if we Google simply customer portal, we see that Zendesk is ranking here for what is a client or customer portal. This is a blog post. So if you don't have this blog post, let's take a look here. We have a few blogs here, there's the update seven, project management tool, and the best customer portal software blog post. But it might be useful to add a quick blog post on what is a customer portal or what is a client portal. And it will look very similar like this, like just make like unique images of Canva or another tool and write about stuff like elements of a customer portal, like an FAQ and so on. This is not super complicated content, but it really defines like what the field is and it's more like a definition blog post. It's one of those templates that work. The other template that works is like a listicle, so like a top 10, top five, top six, top seven that we have here as well. Here we have Fusebase ranking for this software and let's see if we are also in this result. I don't think so. If we check the backlinks here, we don't have it. So they're a competitor and then they're linking to everyone else except us. One way that we could improve this is like offer them, offer to include them in our blog post about the top six and add them instead, right? So you can go to the contact page and say like, Hey, I saw you have a blog post on the top 12 customer portal and client portal software. We can, let's add each other. Like you make it a top 13, we'll make it a top six, a top seven and then we add each other in that sense. So that's called like a link exchange and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's worth it. We are working on a tool, linkdr.com. If you sign up, you will be able to find a lot of these backlink ideas on autopilot. So what it does, it finds like listicles in a similar way and then tells you like how to send the email to them. So check that out. But this result is ranking really high and it's higher than the other ones, especially if we Google, for example, best customer portal software, we see that we have a few examples. We have smartfall.com and they have a 78 domain rating. That's why they're super high here as well. And this is like similar blog post, but it's just like focused on this result. Let's take a look quickly here before we continue with the blog post stuff. So this page, for example, it has features slash client portal. You could do something very similar. I know you have a features page here and this just shares all the features that you have, but maybe you can add like a read more, like what is a customer portal or what is a client portal? And then it shows more information specifically for what this is. You have already the Aldis industries. Just make one more page that just says like client portal, also customer portal, and then optimize those pages more specifically for those keywords. Some ways that you can do this easily is there's a quick checklist, right? So the title should have this keyword, client portal software. The description and the meta description should have this keyword, client portal software. Ideally you should have a H1 over here, client portal software also, and we see it here. So all of this stuff has the keyword in there in the very beginning. Also in the slug, in the URL, we see client portal as well here. And then you follow more of like a definition blog post in a similar way as the result. So you start with like, what is a client portal? What are the benefits or the features of a client portal? Why do customers love a client portal? And then the FAQ that kind of repeats it again as well. And then some, and this is a very small page, right? And so you could make a lot of these very similar pages. Ideally you should make your industry pages very similar. So like client portal for accountants instead of the perfect client, this is like a little bit too short, too long. Remove this part and the perfect in the beginning and make this a bit more optimal. So this title really sucks. It's example accounting portal, just make it like client portal for accountants, right? Or accounting firms. And then also move this in the same way in the beginning, add a description that is missing for your example accounting page. And that will improve also the result. And then the second one is like, what is a client portal? Again, repeat it. You can include this as well. Like what are the benefits for accountants for a client portal? And then an FAQ at the end. And you should follow this template for the other industries and also just make one for customer portal as well in a similar way to SmartPort that they have. So to continue from to the blog posts that we have here, we see that for customer portal software, which is a high difficulty, high volume domain, a keyword, we see that we have a few things. We have fusebase.com and we have zendesk.com and then we have client portal ourselves at the top five. So this is really good, but I think we could potentially rank a little bit higher by optimizing all blog posts that we have. For example, here, we already saw this one before and zendesk as well. They have some videos. You should take a look at like adding tables. I don't know if you have a table, but you should add similar tables of like pricing and information and so on. This will help you rank a little bit better and you're also not listed here, so you can reach out and email them as well. But the things that, there's a few things that why they are ranking higher. If we look at this list, best client portal software, or even, I don't think you're actually ranking for this at all. So if we Google this exact word, best client portal software, we see only their blog posts and then we don't really see yours at all. One thing that I think you could improve from this is by optimizing this page. So we have customer portal clients stuff in the title. This is good. Yours is also good. That is not a big thing, but I think like the title is a little bit too long. So take top six best customer portal software solutions for your business. It's way too long and it can be optimized. One way that I am doing this with my own tools is I made a content analysis. What you do here, you type in the keyword, for example, best customer portal software, and then it checks Google for the top results on the top 10 of the SERP and it tells you how you can optimize your page. So let's take a look here. So once it's done, it will give you the top ranking titles. So this is the top 10 SERP results and we see a few things here. We see that you're not specifically in this list and we see a few things like this. If we, by the way, Google your exact URL, we will see that your title is being cut off as we predicted. So you see top six best customer portal software for your, and then it's dot, dot, dot. You don't want this to happen because it will impact your rankings quite a lot. And we see the top results, that's what Google gives us. This is stuff that Google likes. So there's a number, there's a year, there's both a customer and client portal software in the word, and then it starts you to leave a number. And it has the word best or the word top in it, and the year. So that's basically in a similar way that what I created. So if we copy paste your title over here and that we have, and let's see how we can optimize it. We paste it in here and we see that it's too long and it's also being cut off because Google checks pixel widths based on those results. I would make it like top six, top seven instead of top six to make it a little bit longer and then include similar stuff that we saw here. We see that, for example, often it has a word client portal software 2024 and then the word best. So you want to include those things also in your title. So seven best client plus customer portal software solutions, let's remove this because nobody really is using this as you can see, and business as well, nobody's really using this. Best customer portal software, we have all of these now except 2024. So this is a much better title that is optimized based on what Google likes. We can add like the top here, the top eight, and then it's still not too long and not being cut off. But if we make it too long, it will start being cut off and then impact the ranking. So top seven best client plus customer portal software in 2024. This is a much better title that we have here and this will improve your position because it's not being cut off. And I want something we can do. We see here the description is good and it has the word client portal and the H1 has also that result for your business. Maybe we can remove solutions here for your business and just make it the same as the other ones. So top seven customer and client portal software or similar to here. The other reasons that they might be ranking higher than you in this result is because they have a lot of backlinks. If we check here, we don't really have that many backlinks to this page, it's zero. And they, Zendesk and Fusebase have a lot of backlinks to this page. So they have about 414 to Zendesk and 316. But we can filter this, this feels like a lot, but if we check one link per domain and only do follow links, they have about 138 to Zendesk and the one to Fusebase, they have a little bit less results, so about 96 groups of links. So to move up our positions here in the blog post, what we need to do is get a lot more backlinks. So one way that you do this is you go to, for example, the top backlinks that they have, you make an exploit and then you go through that list and mark it down like, okay, I sent an email here, I didn't send an email here and you see who else they're writing about. So for example, are you writing about you? For example, they are, they added you as a result somewhere here, well somewhere, I'm not going to find it right away, but it's in one of those top pages, but I don't see it right now. But you are also a backlink on this page, meanwhile they are sending those links. For example, for boldesk.com, they also have a blog post about what is a custom reporter software, but then you don't have a backlink to your page, but they do have a bunch of backlinks to Zendesk, like Zendesk will be mentioned here and you also want to be mentioned here. So one thing that I would try to do is either use linkedr.com to reach out automatically by checking, by importing the export that we have from Ahrefs, or by clicking on contact us and writing an email to sales at boldesk.com and then saying like, Hey, by the way, I saw you have a blog post about the 12 best custom reporter software, can you make it 13 and include the link to us, clientporter.io and to our list, we'll give you like either an affiliate link, affiliate program, like a percentage, we'll give you like some money, you can use our tools for free. We'll also include you in our list so you can make yours a top seven instead, or you can offer them money, for example, like money for a placement or whatever. So that's what generally you would have to do to rank your position higher. And then you repeat the same process for Nimbusweb and then you go to the same list, for example, RankTracker, iSmartRecruit, there's so many backlinks here and I will send you both of these sheets that you have to go through. So you open them up each time and then you see, okay, there's a list here, I need a link here as well, and I will reach out to them by sending an email. You can use a tool also instead of LinkedIn, something like Hunter or Apollo or Snap.io by sending like automated, you know, outreach campaigns. But that's generally what works and how you get really high quality backlinks. So to recap, I would focus on improving your titles here on your page. This is a little bit too long, by the way, so clientportal, we see that it's also being cut off, right? So you can use that content analysis tool, also do repeat the same process for your blog post, make a specific features page that includes the customer portal and the client portal stuff, improve your example client portals and improve your blog post. And that will give you the most result for the least amount of time because it focuses really on like the bottom of the funnel keywords where you get the most sales from. And hopefully that helps you get more traffic leads and sales. Good luck.
